Seven Days

Ahh vacation. Just saying the word makes me relax and breathe deeply.

Beloved and I are off for a week long escape for a little quality time, and peace and quiet away from the office, a sinking pool and deck, computers and telephones. The computer and Blackberry are wishful thinking on my part but I'm hoping we-- translation: Beloved, spends a lot less time working and a lot more time relaxing. I'll be spending minimal time blogging so have a great week everyone and I'll catch up with you when I get back.

Where's your ideal relaxation spot?

  10. You see? That's women for you - criticise the computer, the work, the Blackberry - and then there's that little phrase sneaked in "MINIMAL time blogging" which can mean anything you darned well please.

    :) Have a good break!

  14. I would like to say it is in Europe somewhere, eating at tiny spaces meant for only the locals~ I am thinking Ireland~ But then reality sets in, I have 4 kids 7 and under,.. Vacation?!?! What is that?!?!
Even in the craziness, having all 4 of them cuddled in my bed with me watching a movie is the best mini vacation I could ask for!

  15. Have a great vacation!! I can't wait to hear all about it next week!!

  16. Joanna - you and Beloved have a wonderful relaxing time. Throw ye olde BlackBerry in the ocean if you have to. Quality time together alone is to precious to be interrupted or abbreviated by work nonsense.

Seems like I just got back and now you're off! Well, I hope when you return all tanned and rested we can finally catch up. I sure have missed you my friend.

    Happy Trails!

  17. I hope yours turns out better than ours. I wouldn't have any idea what a restful, relaxing vacation is like, ours always turn into some kind of disaster.
    Have fun!!

  19. Oh - and my ideal relaxation spot is tough to choose...

Either on the beach in Bermuda or Cabo or on a gondola in Venice. My living room couch aint half bad either, as long as Larry and Augie are with me!

  23. Have a wonderful, relaxing vacation!

We usually take a 10 day family vacation on the North Carolina coast during the second week of October (which would have been last week). We weren't able to go this year, but that is my ideal vacation.

  24. Hmmm, let's see...a fully cleaned home (by someone else, of course), completely quiet and empty, a hot bath and a couple whiskey sours to keep me company.

    Have fun!

  25. Have a wonderful vacation and just unplug so you and Beloved can focus on each other. We are so busy we seldom take time to reconnect with those who are most important to us.

Now on the flip side I'm stuck on the Ponderosa with the weather turning colder. My flowers are dark and dead from the weekend frost so I am busy cleaning out the many sad, sad flower beds. A nice warm vacation sounds heavenly so I am just a little {lot} jealous here.

Have a wonderful time and we all will still be here. God bless you both!!!

  35. Ironically I often relax by running with a friend. I exercise, laugh hard, sometimes cry, pray with her...and come home refreshed. Have a wonderful trip. Holly at lifelaughlatte.blogspot.com

I'm 51 (almost 52 at this point) and in my 50th year I made decisions to make MAJOR changes in my life. I'm still trying to figure it all out, but so far so good!
