Meet Christine

While I'm on vacation, I thought I would share a newer blog that I've been following by Dr. Christine Forest. This particular post made a lot of sense to me because it reminded me of what I'd done, in part, with my blog. I feel like I've "found my tribe" in so many of YOU. Thanks a million for your kindness, friendship and support over these past nine months. I appreciate it more than I can say.

So go check out Christine's blog to see what I'm talking about. When you get to her main page, scroll down a little to read "Finding Your Tribe-- Living Well Among Like Minded People".

Hope you're having a great week. Vacation is paradise. And now I'm closing my laptop for the rest of the day. Ahhhhh....

PS Christine painted the above picture!

Welcome to The Fifty Factor - Joanna

  2. Thank you for leading us to Christine. Sometimes we are so caught up in what and how we think we should be, that we forget who we can be.

  8. May I join Christine's tribe too? I totally loved her post -- thanks for introducing her to us. There have been times in my life when I felt like Ella, and I am even a freelance writer. (Would love to have Ella in my tribe, too. She'd fit very well with my wild and crazy troop of clever writers.) I still find it amazing that a few people in my life can make me feel bad or diminished, while my ever-explanding "tribe" never fails to make me feel celebrated and cared for. Thanks for this wonderful reminder, Joanna!

  9. Heading over to check it out. I am a great believer in finding your "tribe". I have had so many wonderful internet encounters - some that I even consider sisters from a different mister.
Thanks for sharing - hope you are enjoying your vacation.

I have just noticed Sunday Roast on Eddie Bluelight's post and thought it was a really good interview. I particularly loved the profile photo with the pictures all over it! Very impressive and I am sorry that I have word verification on my post but hope you won't mind about that!
Having a little look round while I am here. The painting is excellent!

  28. found you through the interview on "Clouds & Silvery Linings" whom I found via "Cajun Delights" and so on. What caught my eye was your praise for Brian Miller's whose work I read consistently.

Your comments on turning fifty have me laughing because, just wait til you turn 60. I'm not there yet but am past 50 pushing 60 and it's UGLY.

Curious to know where on the West Coast. I'm California born & raised now living in the northeast, N.H.
