Elephant In The Room


Have you seen this in the news lately? I spotted this story Sunday and was amazed and happy to see this 50-something elephant get a new lease on life. You can read the full story and see more photos here.

    That is an incredible story (although it is one of those things I wished never happened; I already feel badly for elephants without knowing these kind of things happen to them).

    CONGRATS ON THAT AWARD!! This is one I've never seen (but then again, I don't get around much!!)! You deserve it; you are such a thought provoking, talented blogger!!

    I did catch the photo in our local paper. They have also done a horse with an artificial leg.

    The photo of the elephant is both heart-warming & heart-wrenching...shudder to think how he lost his foot. Congrats on the award!

    The elephant story is great! Although it's sad that it needed a prosthesis in the first place.

    What is it about elephants? I'm happy for it. If someone had done the same thing for, say, a monkey, I'd be kind of puzzled.

    I decided to comment here {where there's a litttle extra room} in regards to your neighborhood....WOW !

    I love it only because each house has some personality even if it's ugly personality....

    around here, our neighborhood has houses that all have the same midwestern built in the last 10 years look and it's sooooo boring !

    but I hate a tear down...I really do !

    It breaks my heart to think of animals suffering. What a delight to see what was done for that sweet pachyderm. Animal prosthetics rule! Love it.
