Sundays In My City #64 - & LAST CHANCE TO ENTER Giveaway!

This week's Sundays In My City is a short one. I've been on the run lately and since it's Oscar Sunday, I'll be parked in front of the television for the better part of the day checking out the stars and the awards show.

*******

It's been a busy couple of weeks as I zipped through making this baby quilt for a wonderful family friend. A bouncing baby boy is on the way and this "I Spy" quilt will hopefully keep him occupied and happy while he's playing and learning new things. The baby shower is next weekend and I'm hoping the mom-to-be loves it.

  18. The quilt is gorgeous! I can only imagine how much mom and baby are going to love it.

I'm so impressed with, not only how talented you are, but how quickly you finished it. I started a baby sized quilt for my son shortly after he was born, but I haven't quite finished it, yet. Did I mention he's a senior in high school and recently turned 18 years old? Yeah, it's probably never going to be done. Sigh.

  51. That quilt is such a lovely gift, Joanna.

I missed the Academy Awards...caught up with it second hand. My beloved friend, Sony Holland, my favorite jazz singer who relocated a year and a half ago to your neck of the woods, was in Santa Cruz and San Francisco, with her equally talented lyricist husband, so two friends and I overnighted in Santa Cruz, then were at the Rrazz Room Sunday aftenoon to see them again. Fabulous music, reunion with old friends and her other devoted fans...a great weekend.
