Sundays In My City #64 - & LAST CHANCE TO ENTER Giveaway!

This week's Sundays In My City is a short one. I've been on the run lately and since it's Oscar Sunday, I'll be parked in front of the television for the better part of the day checking out the stars and the awards show.

*******

It's been a busy couple of weeks as I zipped through making this baby quilt for a wonderful family friend. A bouncing baby boy is on the way and this "I Spy" quilt will hopefully keep him occupied and happy while he's playing and learning new things. The baby shower is next weekend and I'm hoping the mom-to-be loves it.

*******

And this is the LAST CHANCE to enter my $100 CSNStores.com Gift Certificate Giveaway. All you have to do is leave a COMMENT BELOW. And for extra chances, leave a comment HERE and HERE too! (that's where you'll see full details too) Giveaway ends at Midnight, February 28th Pacific Time.

Will you be watching the Academy Awards?
Welcome to www.TheFiftyFactor.com - Joanna Jenkins

How could she NOT appreciate that beautiful quilt? It's absolutely amazing and gorgeous. I might take up quilting myself one day, but it will be a while before I could do something like that!

The quilt is gorgeous! I can only imagine how much mom and baby are going to love it.

I'm so impressed with, not only how talented you are, but how quickly you finished it. I started a baby sized quilt for my son shortly after he was born, but I haven't quite finished it, yet. Did I mention he's a senior in high school and recently turned 18 years old? Yeah, it's probably never going to be done. Sigh.

That is so cool! I love what you made... but the fact that you "zipped" through it? I'm a little jealous.

Nope, no Oscars for me. I don't do the whole celebrity thing. Watching Suze Orman from last night right now actually.

I watched the Oscars, too. I mean, who doesn't? Unfortunately I haven't seen all the nominees for best pic, but I was hoping that Colin Firth would win - and he did! So yay.

Your quilt is so fun - you did some lovely work there. What's not to like?

What a gorgeous little quilt you made. I love quilts myself, and this one is really cute for a little one.

Was totally absorbed by the Oscars. They were fun, weren't they?

That quilt is such a lovely gift, Joanna.

I missed the Academy Awards...caught up with it second hand. My beloved friend, Sony Holland, my favorite jazz singer who relocated a year and a half ago to your neck of the woods, was in Santa Cruz and San Francisco, with her equally talented lyricist husband, so two friends and I overnighted in Santa Cruz, then were at the Rrazz Room Sunday aftenoon to see them again. Fabulous music, reunion with old friends and her other devoted fans...a great weekend.
