Today's Sunday In My City is actually from last Sunday in my hometown in Ohio where I was visiting family and getting a "baby fix".
I arrived to 50 degree weather but woke up Sunday to this....
I yiyi, you have no idea how much I dislike snow, but it seems every time I'm anywhere near Ohio after October or before May-- Temps will drop and snow will fly. Fortunately it only lasted a little while.
I tried to sneak back into town before the nasty weather so I could get my hands on this sweet girl, my great niece, one more time....
The Little Miss is 5 1/2 months old and up to a whopping 12 pounds. The last time I saw her in person she was about 5 weeks and barely 6 pounds so it was quite a change.
She warmed my heart and I couldn't take my eyes off of her. What a treat to be able to spend time with her, her mom and my entire family. It was perfection.
How's your Sunday?

I share your sentiments about snow. It should only snow once a year, the week between Christmas and New Year and sprig should arrive on the 2nd of January.;)
ReplyDeleteYour niece is very, very cute; your pictures makes me miss my nieces as well...
Have a lovely Sunday,
xoxo
Awww, look at the toesies! She's so adorable. I can't believe how fast time is flying! So glad you got to have your baby fix. Strange to see the fall colors mixed in with snow.
ReplyDeleteShe is too cute, Joanna! I keep encouraging my middle son ( the one who got married in May ) to provide me with a grandchild - I want a girl since I've got three boys but I wouldn't mind a boy, either. He tells me they are doing nothing to keep from having one so I guess I must be patient. I hope this is chance number 2 in your contest for me!
ReplyDeleteLook at her with her cute little tootsies! She's precious! I'm sure you would have suffered any amount of snow to visit. :)
ReplyDeleteShe's a cute little lady... :)
ReplyDeleteI am with you on the snow!!! Yuck!! Glad it didn't last so you could enjoy your visit with that gorgeous baby girl!! Nice and chubby!! Love her!!
ReplyDeleteHugs

She's really growing! What a cutie.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a fan of the snow either. So far we've only had some flurries, but this week that may change. :(
oh gorgeous snow shot and gorgous bubba
ReplyDeleteha. what a cute little one...yeah bet you dont get much down time beyond playing and holding...smiles.
ReplyDeletei dunno, i could use a snow ball fight...
Sundays in my city - another awesome post!
ReplyDeleteWhat can ya do with snow?
Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow!

What a darling she is. Has it been 5 1/2 months already? My, how time flies when we are having blogging fun.
ReplyDeleteYesterday James and I had one of the best days ever. We looked at each other and then looked around and James said "We moved all this by ourselves and we are over the move and settled here." We put up our electronic dart board yesterday and played darts. Now we are home.
the good part is you get to go back to where it's warm! Such a cute little great niece.
ReplyDeleteShe's so cute!! Just pinchalicous!! I read snow and I thougt wait a minute do I really need to look outside and check? lol! Hope you are enjoying your trip. The nights here have been cold.
ReplyDeleteShe is definitely a cutie patootie! I'm sure it was worth a little snow to get to see her and hold her!
ReplyDeleteShe's a beauty! Glad you were able to get your hands on her!
ReplyDeleteI got to see my great niece last Sunday with the baby blanket I made for her. She is now, lessee, 4+ months and the blanket still suits her just fine. She's also a cutie with two doting older brothers.
ReplyDeleteI'm no longer fond of the snow. My balance sucks, even with a walker. And we are predicted to get lots this Winter. Can hardly wait.
She is certainly worth getting through a little snow to hold and cuddle. I love how she is looking at her cute littly baby feet in the last pic.
ReplyDeleteNow that is one adorable little girl. She exudes sweetness. Glad you got this time with her and your family and of course the snow so you can really appreciate not having to live in it. Thankfully I don't mind the snow...which I suppose is good since I live in the land of snow. :) Happy Sunday!
ReplyDeleteAwww, she is so adorable, no wonder you wanted to get your hands on her again. What a sweetie!!
ReplyDeleteMy family lives in Michigan and I can hardly take the cold, but the little ones are reason to visit :) Little Miss is completely adorable!

She is absolutely precious and the perfect way to spend the day. How adorable. I just want to kiss her little toes :)
ReplyDeleteNow that's the kind of baby I like! She is adorable and chubby!
ReplyDeleteMy Sunday is okay, but the closest I am getting to holding a baby is the doggie. It's a good thing he's little and likes to cuddle.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness she is so ADORABLE..look at those cheeks and those beautiful eyes :)
ReplyDeleteLove the snow..can't help it, I love love LOVE the snow..lol I wish we'd hurry up and get some over here :)
I don't think there is anything cuter than baby toes and baby butts! Glad you had time to enjoy!
ReplyDeleteCute! The snow looks wonderful; the weather pundits are saying we will get some snow this winter, thanks to la nina. We'll see! I'm just getting started on Sunday, it's raining and foggy here in Seattle!
ReplyDeleteOh Joanna, she's too precious!
ReplyDeleteI'm listening to Classical Christmas (don't judge me) so when I saw your snow picture I felt all happy inside. The only thing that I dislike about the cold is the bills. Besides that, I'm cool with it (pun, haha).
Babyzilla spent the night with me last night, and I woke up to a "shhhh" sound. When I opened my eyes, she was sitting on the bed next to me with a finger raised to her lips going "shhhh". I adore her.
Seriously cute your lil Ohio Baby!! OMg those cheeks so kissable! Love the snow....I keep waiting for it here! I know once it comes I will be complaining! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteThat is one gorgeous little girl. I hope you covered those cheeks in kisses. She looks so happy and healthy and loved, just like a baby should.
ReplyDeleteShe is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteawww, what a lovely little girl!!! just beautiful :-) and the first snow, there is something so peaceful about the white coat on the trees, grass and roads ... I wonder when ours will come here .... happy week ahead!!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, those chubby little toes. How darling!
ReplyDeleteOmigoodness, what a beautiful little girl...! I just want to nibble on her little toes.
ReplyDeleteYour little great niece is beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteWe got our first snowfall last night...and today. We usually get a fair bit of snow here (NW ONtario)...but usually doesn't stay on the ground until around Christmas time.
ReplyDeleteYour little grand-niece is adorable!

ReplyDeleteSnow? Yikes! I would definitely not be ready for that.
ReplyDeleteAdorable!!!
ReplyDeleteNot quite ready for snow, must rake all the leaves and put the chairs away first!
what a cutie. I adore baby feet. their little piggies are irrisistable.
ReplyDeletewow, she's a cutie.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cutie! Sounds like you had a lot of fun during your visit.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't say I'm a total fan of snow, but I can't get along without it. When I lived in California, it was weird not to have snow for Christmas.
Your great niece is adorable! Gorgeous little toes. :)
ReplyDeleteOh joanna! She is the most delicious baby. What a little sweetie. Pure perfection. I'm sorry about the snow : (
ReplyDeleteI am dreading it already.
Chubby baby feet are the best! What a cutie.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on snow...hate the blasted stuff. I like a white Christmas, but I'd be fine if it snowed like the dickens on Christmas eve and was all gone by New Years!
Such an adorable baby. Happy SIMC
ReplyDeleteOMG She is absolutely gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteAnd I am with you, I hate snow, I'll take our So Cal weather any day!
Darn, winter is truly tapping at my door too, when it snows I have to fight to get our car up the steep drive! Isn't that little princess gorgeous? What a beautiful smile! I'll bet your family were so happy to see you again!
ReplyDeleteThose cheeks would taste yummy!!!!!
ReplyDeleteSnow? Boo snow. Not looking forward to that. But, what a cutie! Worth an unexpected snow day.
ReplyDeletehow precious is she?????????
ReplyDeleteThat little adorable face will melt a whole much of snow. She is a cutie! xo
ReplyDeleteBut of COURSE it snowed! To remind you why you live in California now... I hate when it snows on trees that still have leaves; that's NOT how it's supposed to work.
ReplyDeleteGlad to know you had plenty to keep you warm inside, though!
Snow?! Why, who doesn't like snow?!
ReplyDelete:-) ha ha I'm in Minnesota, so I'm pretty much required to pretend like I haven't even noticed the 8 inches we got Saturday...
As for the great niece, I just want to squeeze her. Those plump little legs and un-used feet! She's absolutely adorable.
Pearl
Aw, she's a cutie pie. Just wait until you see her again. Time flies.
ReplyDeleteWe're right next door in PA, but we haven't seen any snow. YET>
We got the first flurries yesterday.
