Happy Bag & Thanks

Before we headed out of town this week, I was given a fabulous gift by a loved one that I thought you might like too.

It's called a "Happy Bag" and this is what it included.

Attached to the small 2 1/2" X 3 1/2" mesh bag was this note-

Happy Bag

An eraser so you can make
Your mistakes disappear

A coin so you can never
Say you're broke

A marble in case someone
Says you've lost yours

A rubber band to stretch
Yourself beyond your limits

A piece of string to tie yourself
Together when things fall apart

A kiss to remind you
Someone cares!

I've never seen this before and it really touched my heart. If I could, I'd send a Happy Bag to all of you.

This is a long over-due thank you to the wonderful Angel Cel at AC's Scrapbook for this gorgeous photo. It's of the White Mountains in Eastern USA. A million thanks to Angel Cel for sharing her talent with me. I'm going to have this framed to hang it in my office. You can check out more of her great photos HERE and HERE.

~~~~~~~
I'll be back in town on Sunday-- with an Internet connection again. Phew! After several days of being totally "disconnected", I'm anxious to catch up with all of you.
Hope you're having a great week.
Yes, your have a wonderful friend there. Our principal gave the Middle School staff a bag very similar at the beginning of the school year to keep in our classrooms! I thought it was very sweet and clever. Oh, that photo is a prize winner!
Have a terrific day and enjoy what time you have before you get back.
God bless!!!!
How totally cute!!
It makes me think I should give something similar to some of my husband's family, only with items more appropriate for how I feel about some of them. ;)
I have to admit recycling it, but the feelings are still with me.
Ever been to the White Mountains? They are truly beautiful. The photo is great, but even a picture as good as this doesn't do them justice.
Your happy bag is awesome, I love that idea. The bag that everything comes in can be used to wash a bra in the machine, so it doesn't get damaged. (just a tidbit there)
Love, love, love xo d
thanks for sharing this good gift idea. I have enclosed a quarter in birthday cards for 25th birthdays before. Also once I wrote a check to a niece (graduation I think) for some weird odd amount with and odd amount of cents. It made is more memorable.
We all need a bag o' happy to get us through sometimes. I just realized, I'm a happy bag for many. I had two women in tears on the phone with me today, calling me both said, "Just to hear my voice." Both were suffering a personal hardship. Should I take it personally if I make women cry when I talk to them? :)
That's wonderful!
Someone gave me a dollar, folded to look like a shirt as a tip one day. She told me, "As long as you don't lose your shirt, you'll never be broke." I keep that shirt in my server book all the time!
