Ho Ho Huh?

It's not the season for Santa yet, although I have already seen TV Christmas commercials from K-Mart.  (Grrrrr!)  But apparently it is time for Jolly Old St. Nick to audition at 20th Century Fox Studios near our home.  Who knows what for, (a movie perhaps?) but these guys were leaving the Studio on Thursday and walking up the main boulevard this past week.  Like any (crazy) dedicated blogger, I pulled over and asked to take their picture.  By the way, it was 87 degrees that day!

I hope no kids saw them because it would really burst their bubble to learn Santa drives a blue Honda SUV.

  1. These must be fakes because the real Santa is still here in Finland! He's very busy getting all the packets ready for xmas....no time to travel now! :)

  4. I too have seen a few commercials! YIKES! I'm not ready for the commercialism that comes with Christmas. Looks like Santa Aliens landed near your place! I'm sure that those 87 degree temps had them all fired up.
    Have a great Sunday.

  5. I'm not really ready to think about Christmas yet, but it is a pretty funny sight to see those Santa's walking down the street - no snow, no sleigh?

  6. haha...kids seeing santa will start the frenzy all the earlier...makes me wonder at what movie they might be auditioning for....i am not ready for christmas yet...

  7. Santas should always walk singly, never in pairs or groups. That's just wrong.

  8. I'm glad you didn't tell us that they got into a sleigh and flew off. :)
I think you can count this as a star sighting.

  9. Wow! You really want to be Santa to walk around in almost 90 degree heat!

  11. I'm with Secret Agent Woman -- they should always walk alone. Haven't seen any myself yet . . . obviously, I'm not watching enough TV!

  12. No bubble bursting necessary. Everyone knows that Santa uses alternate forms of transportation on his time off. No more fretting now. You have not ruined Christmas for thousands.

  13. fun pictures
In the first one, the shorter Santa appears that he also has auditioned for a flasher part. Thank God for good suspenders.

  15. What? Santa is on the west coast driving a Honda? I am glad we have Papa Noel and the Three Kings here in Central America. That Santa boy is nutty.

  19. Wow. This is one of the best SIMC posts I've ever read--I love the uniqueness; you don't find that in every city, for sure. Those Santas looked awesome, too!

  20. Santa in a SUV made me chuckle. Thanks for visiting my post.

  21. Must be tough to be in that suit! And blue Honda SUV? I love that! :D Loved your post!

I once remember my son crying, when he was very little, because the Santa we saw at the Mall was skinny.

  23. Well, at least you got a really novel shot for late September. Your post reminds me that I had better get to work on my granddaughter's Christmas stocking. I brought it with me to India and it's still in a suitcase!

  24. That's like seeing Elvis--so unexpected!

  25. How unexpected and what fun!

  26. In your part of California you see actors and entertainers of all kinds. Why not Santas!

Glad you got the pictures. Gosh, Christmas will be here soon, but like you, I want to have a wonderful Thanksgiving first, and then have the month of December for Christmas.

  27. Oh wow that is great! Talk about being in the right place at the right time.

  28. It does look funny with all those 'Santa's' walking around!

  29. Are you sure it was an SUV and not a sled? Maybe Santa was just checking his list and talking to the naughty people who keep putting on those terrible shows for us to watch at the studio. Yay! that's what it was. He's sick of the trash on T.V. . glad we cleared that uup! ;)

  30. I'm sure you know how I feel about Christmas trappings before even Thanksgiving has played out. Grrrrrr.

I would gladly bomb K-Mart back to the stone age if I were just a slight bit more insane.

  31. A Santa parade! That would have been fun for me to see, too, and I would have wanted to snap a picture or two, too.
