Regular readers know I've written about our blog friend Attila The Mom and her son Big Kid as he's battled for his life with the Swine Flu since October 25, 2009 when he first fell sick. If you don't know Attila or her son's story, it starts HERE-- and I think it will, quite frankly, make you sit straight up in your chair.
Attila's nearly daily updates were titled by the number of days Big Kid's health battle raged on. Yesterday she posted Day 195! This is no "little bug". The Swine Flu has kicked their butts ever which way to Sunday and it continues. Her latest update stopped me in my tracks and I immediately sent a pray towards them.
Please, please, pay Attila a visit and share some much needed blog love-- She is one of the VERY BEST people you'll ever know and the struggle ahead for Big Kid and her family could really use a little boost-- and yes, positive prayers and energy sent their way.

A million thanks,

I was already at her site before I read this post. I heartily second your words in your post.
ReplyDeleteIt's such a tragedy...who would think all this could come from the flu.
ReplyDeletePrayers will be said.
ReplyDeleteI posted prayers for the longest time, and assumed everything was okay.
ReplyDeleteI'm scared to click over.
I had read her post earlier and I'm so glad your are sharing it here. She is for sure in need of all the powers that be. Wishing and praying for Atilla and BK.
ReplyDeleteWow, I had no idea. Prayers coming their way.
ReplyDeleteI was there and can't imagine what it is to go through that. I'm praying.
ReplyDeleteHow tragic for them all! I will be praying for sure.

Oh my goodness. I first read about him on your blog a while back. I had no idea he was still so sick. Bless his heart. I'll continue to pray to Jehovah Rophi - The Lord who Heals you.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the update.

Going straight over! I had kind of stopped following Big Kid after he seemed to be doing so well. Had NO IDEA he was battling Swine Flu! Oh Lawdy, what that poor family has had to endure.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip off and for being the absolute best most supportive blog friend in the universe. I so adore you, Joanna.
Off to see Atilla...
still got my prayer machine going jj! hope your travels are going well also.
ReplyDeleteBack again. I'm relieved because I thought Big Kid had Swine Flu again! Other serious issues, yes, but not another bout of what almost killed him. Still, his breathing problems and neurological challenges are scary! I asked God to bring Atilla and Big Kid a miracle. He grants them every day you know... let's hope it's Big Kid's turn.
ReplyDeleteSay no more, I'm on my way over. I sure didn't realize he was still battling this stuff. Thanks for bringing this to our attention. Yep, I'm a firm believer in the power of prayer.
ReplyDeleteGod bless ya'll and have a marvelous Mothers Day weekend!!!
