For nearly four years I've been hanging out in Blogland and met, through their writing, photography and artwork, some pretty amazing folks. I never dreamed how meaningful these connections would become and I'm blessed to call so many of you friends.
I'm guessing you also know VodkaMom-- She's pretty much a legend in these parts and she has a heart of gold. VM blogs about life and her amazing first graders. Over the years, she's left me snorting orange juice up my nose, turning blue from laughing so hard, and on occasion, crying a river from her stories.
Today VodkaMom had hip replacement surgery! (You can hear about how this come to be HERE.)
I yiyi!!!! That cannot be fun and I'm hoping you'll help me cheer her on.

Having had both hips replaced, I can totally relate. The surgery is so worth it!

Hello Joanna, true we've been blogging for in my case, three and a half years. Time flies supersonic. I guess when we're having fun :) I saw Mrs Tuna post title Blogging means never having to say you are sorry. I have not read it yet. I've heard of Vodka Mom but not personally. I hope she'll recover well. And Joanna, this is oceangirl.
I do know VodkaMom and hope the surgery goes well, but more importantly, that she breezes through rehab.

Hi JJ, just catching up on my blog reading and wanted to stop by and say hi. I had a hip replacement 4 years ago and it was the best thing I have had done - the relief was wonderful and the recovery wasn't to bad, not like a knee replacement for sure. Will pray for vodka mom!! Hugs.
