Signs of the Times

Between shopping, schlepping, wrapping and way too much eating, a few holiday reminders crossed my path and made me smile this week.

Happy Hanukkah!

These guys were painted by various artists and positioned around our local mall....

And whatever you do...

Happy Holidays!

Great idea, having those reindeer's displayed like that. Just too bad you can't touch. I'm sure kids would love sitting on them and having a good time.

Very cool reindeer! I've been avoiding malls, but seeing those would make the shopping trip more enjoyable.

A local town near us has bears that are similar to your reindeer. These bears are kept up year round. It is also the school mascot.
Happy Hanukkah.

Those "Do not touch" signs sometimes feel more like a dare than a command....especially with something as cute at these reindeer.

So glad that all the busy and tiring times this week have made your smile. I like the reindeer with the various talented artists' versions.

It's funny to see the reindeer incongruously posed in front of whatever that desert-y looking plant is.

I love the artistic reindeer. What a great community decorating project.

Lovely reindeer. New Orleans had a festival of fins about a decade or so ago with lots of fish sculptures around the city.

We have decorated cows here. I really enjoy looking at all the ideas people come up with, I am just not that clever.

Hope your weekend is a good one. :)

I'd love to try my hand at one of those things where you paint it and they stick them all over town. I have no idea WHY anyone would choose me to do it, but I'd love to give it a go someday.

Lovely colorful reindeer. I have a menorah but it is stashed somewhere in my storage for which I've already paid $4000 - I need to get rid of more things and get a smaller space.

I would find it very hard to NOT touch the reindeer!
