It's not every day you see a potato statue... at a lumber yard in Los Angeles, or anywhere else for that matter.
I suppose maybe the owner is as addicted to potatoes as I am-- Fried, hash browned, baked with gobs of sour cream, roasted or mashed with way too much butter. I could eat potatoes all day, every day.
Unfortunately... for my hips.

How much or little do you use social media? Do you have a favorite?

That is too funny! I like potatoes too, but not enough for a statue. :)
ReplyDeleteI use FB a lot and I really enjoy Pinterest. I tried Twitter but just never got into it. So far no Instagram. Enjoy!
I've never seen a potato statue before, lol.
ReplyDeleteI love potatoes however that is the first statue I have ever seen.
ReplyDeleteA statue to potatoes? That is hilarious!
ReplyDelete:-)

Dear potato... how I do love thee. A statue seems appropriate to the lovely tuber.
ReplyDeleteha a person after my own heart...i like them fried and spiced...though i would imagine this statue in idaho...
ReplyDeleteFacebook and Instagram are my go-to social media site/app. I spend very little time on Twitter or Pinterest or Linkedin and the rest. I haven't really figured out Snapchat just yet. And potatoes? Yes, please! :)
ReplyDeleteI am not a big fan of potatoes, but obviously somebody is! Other than you, of course. :-)
ReplyDeleteJust finished our sauteed Sunday sweet potatoes for breakfast! Yum!
ReplyDeleteI do the blog, I do Facebook. The rest -- I don't have the time or inclination. I DO have a Pinterest and Twitter account, both of which opened when I was still working over a year ago and I had to coordinate social media for the TV and radio stations. Now I never (or rarely) go there. And I don't miss them.
Potatoes.. I do love them. Just not on my hips.
ReplyDeleteBlogging is my first love but I'm becoming a bit more ensconced in Facebook recently. It's mostly a different group than I see in blogging so that works for me.
I'm half Irish, so I'm very familiar with the potato -- it was a rule, we had them every night for dinner when I was a kid. And ya know, I still like them!
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite foods!
ReplyDeleteBlogging is my favorite social media. I dislike FB but belong for family connections. G+ operates better IMHO than FB. Pinterest is the place for pictures.
ReplyDeleteOh I also love potatoes. Crispy hash browns are a must at a breakfast dinner.
Who knew there was a statue to potatoes? I'm all about the American Fries...with onions.
ReplyDeleteOnly blogging and Facebook for me so far. I don't sense that changing soon, either.
I think i want a potato statue...
ReplyDeleteX
Wow, never seen a potato statue, but like you I love a potato. I have friends in the spud business, I should tell them they need one. So happy to see you on facebook and instagram. I'm on them once or twice a day depending on what is going on, or if I'm watching TV and decide to check them in the evening. I'm not a slave to them, but I enjoy checking in too. Hugs!!
ReplyDeleteBeing part Irish I love potatoes! I use Facebook, have just begun using Twitter, (but not well) and am trying to figure out what Google + is all about. I found your blog because I love to read good writing! I just started my own blog and hope to get to know fellow bloggers!
ReplyDeleteIt is true, the potato doesn't get enough credit. I wonder what the plaque on the front says.
ReplyDeleteThat is indeed a weird statue!
ReplyDeleteI love potatoes too... my hips don't either.
Love that potato sculpture! I'm on Facebook a lot.
ReplyDeleteA statue of potatoes, how fun. I like potatoes too but when we eat them they convert to sugar very fast so can raise blood sugar levels. I limit eating them, tasty as they are.
ReplyDeleteHuh, what a weird sculpture. But I like it.
ReplyDeleteI love potatoes as well. Perfectly cooked, creamy mashed potatoes with gravy. I could eat them every day.
ReplyDeleteI like Facebook!
That's hilarious. Is it weird that I want to slather mayo all over it?
ReplyDeleteI could totally enjoy a potato sculpture - they're my very favorite food. Before the world went "carb crazy" there were potato bars all over town. I miss those.
ReplyDeleteThe potato statue cracks me up!
ReplyDeleteUgh...I hate potatoes. Weird right? But thats OK, there are lots of other foodstuffs that will make me fat anyway!
ReplyDeleteI do Facebook, and instagram...and I really don't have the time for either :-)
I'm not a huge social media guy. I have the blog, I go on Facebook, but that's about it. As for potatoes, they're my favorite root vegetable!
ReplyDeleteI am rather fond of potatoes, as well, though I can decline them most of the time...HOWEVER, a baked potato and a good steakhouse, resplendent, with all the fixings, will win me over every time, sometime to the exclusion of the steak which I will take home for later.
